CHOP Out Hunger will host its inaugural "Feeding the Future" fundraiser dinner on October 15, 2025, at Constantino’s Catering, to celebrate community impact and honor Ty Holmes for his outstanding dedication to ending childhood hunger.

Holmes, former Board Chair of CHOP Out Hunger and current volunteer, has been a driving force in the fight against food insecurity. His tireless advocacy, particularly for the organization's in-school pantries and backpack programs in the Scranton School District, has ensured that thousands of children have reliable access to nutritious meals.

“Ty’s passion for serving others is truly inspiring,” said Dani Ruhf, Founder & CEO, CHOP Out Hunger “His unwavering commitment to ending childhood hunger has made a lasting difference in the lives of so many, and we are honored to recognize his contributions.”

A decorated combat veteran with a distinguished military career spanning two branches, Holmes has dedicated his life to service both in uniform and in his community. His advocacy for social justice and hands-on involvement with numerous nonprofit organizations reflect his deep commitment to creating a better future for all.

“My father instilled in me the importance of helping those in need,” said Ty Holmes. “I believe we all have a responsibility to give back, and I’m honored to support CHOP Out Hunger’s mission to ensure no child goes hungry.”

The "Feeding the Future" dinner will also serve as a powerful fundraising event to support CHOP Out Hunger’s critical programs. Proceeds raised will help fund  initiatives like weekend backpack programs, and in-school pantries, ensuring that vulnerable children receive the nutrition they need to thrive.
