Community Involvement Excellence Award

Sponsored by Pennsylvania American Water, the SAGE Community Involvement Excellence Award celebrates organizations making a meaningful impact in our community. CHOP Out Hunger was recognized for our dedication to eliminating childhood hunger across Pennsylvania. Through strong partnerships with schools, businesses, and local organizations, we currently serve approximately 45,000 children each week, ensuring they have access to the nutritious food they need to thrive.

People’s Choice Award

In addition to our Community Involvement Excellence recognition, we were thrilled to receive the 2026 SAGE People’s Choice Award, sponsored by Peoples Security Bank & Trust. All SAGE and Milestone recipients were eligible, and attendees of the Annual Dinner participated in real-time voting to select the winner. Winning the People’s Choice Award reflects the support and trust of the community we serve. proof that together, we can make a real difference in the lives of children.

A Night of Celebration and Gratitude

Being part of the SAGE Awards ceremony was a powerful reminder of the incredible organizations, volunteers, and leaders dedicated to improving life across Northeastern Pennsylvania. These awards are a testament to the commitment of our board, staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners who make CHOP Out Hunger’s mission possible every day.

We are deeply grateful for this recognition and inspired to continue expanding our programs, including the Weekend Backpack Program, In-School Pantries, and Pop-Up Pantries, to reach even more children in need.

Together, we can ensure no child in Pennsylvania goes hungry.
